A friend who regularly sees me kilted told me today of an encounter that had made her think of me. She was walking through the city on what was a fairly cold morning when she saw a man of mature years approaching. He was wearing short shorts and long socks. What came instantly to her mind was - "he'd look so much better if he was wearing a kilt". And she realised that it was seeing me regularly in the kilt that had probably prompted that thought.

Now this was the same lady who used regularly to try to tease me that I was wearing a skirt (as I reported in an earlier thread -seehttp://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/a...x.html?t=31064) but, as I noted in that thread, she clearly appreciates smart dressing.

I enjoyed the compliment.
