Kilted Wal Mart experience (My kilt had a stalker!)
I know, most of your groaned when you read the title. "What idiocy did Nighthawk have to endure this time?" It was an interesting experience, and as most of you know, I don't feel a need to clutter the board with run of the mill experiences that we all have- but this one was special. I was shopping for a new sketch pad, and had never bought one at Wal Mart before, so I didn't know where to look. I was pacing, trying to figure it out, when a lady behind practically shouted "Wow!! Where'd you get your kilt?" (I was wearing a Stillwater saffron shadow.) I turned around, and it was a Wal Mart employee standing there, looking very excited- and I mean very! She was blushing and grinning and gushing all over me like a little kid looking at a new puppy! I told her where I got it, directed her to a few of our vendors here (turned out that she and her fiance were planning a Scottish wedding, and couldn't find a local source for kilts, and so had all but given up- I gave her my card and offered to help.) She thanked me, and I asked her where I might find art supplies. I don't do much shopping, so I get lost easily. She directed me to the appropiate isle, and followed me to it talking to me about kilts- and after I found the sketch pad, followed me to the deli area, and from there, she followed me to the check stand! It was a little comical- my kilt had a stalker. That's a new one for me!
