Nice Legs
I don't wear kilts all the time, though I do wear them a lot and some people generally only see me when I'm in one, and so it was, the other day, that I attended the local wedding reception for my Mexican wedding friends in a suit that one acquaintance observed, "So you DO have legs," which I thought was odd, since they can clearly see that I have legs when I'm in a kilt, but took to mean in the end that they could see that my legs do, in fact, go all the way up to the junction at the hips.
Phil, next time give us some warning so we can stock up on our doomsday provisions, OK?
Regards,
rex.
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

I get the same response from the locals here in Sacramento (I'm slowly becoming somewhat of a celeb in this town because of my garb!)/ "We didn't recognize you", "Are you in disguise", "Has something happened". the other day when we had to go to IKEA to get a ton of stuff and I had to wear jeans, one woman there walked by me and just stopped, looked, and pointed me up and down and held here hands out like "What the hell????". Its the power of the kilt man....It affects everyone!

People grow accustomed
I wear kilts to specific events like wine tasting at the local Whole Foods or music night at the turn-of-the-century stagecoach in. I wear them everytime I go, almost. People get used to seeing you this way and expect it. The few times I have been silly enough to buck my own trend and NOT wear a kilt, I get questions "where's the kilt?".
Thus, to avoid pointless questions like this, I make sure I wear my kilt.
It's a funny thing about people, it's like they just get used to things one way or another, but don't really care about the content. It's change that bothers them.
Establish your kilt wearing pattern where you wish and kilt on!

I wonder, if a man in a kilt robbed a place, would the witnesses be able to describe him in any way other than "he was wearing a kilt"?

Have I done it? Have I cracked reality wide open? Am I suddenly living in Bizzaro world? Have I managed to recalibrate the paradigm to the point where kilts are "normal" and pxxts are "strange?" If I have, doesn't that mean that you can too?
Boy I sure hope so...
Well, Spokane is right next to north idaho—almost at the end of the road. There are places in this area that I can not go except wearing a kilt. But I always thought that I wanted the option of a kilt or pants and so continue to wear both whenever and wherever I deem fit.

Phil,...so you're the reason the earth slipped slightly from its axis. A warning would be nice next time.
