I nearly got precious when I saw the kit given to 'Wallace', then I took a deep breath and enjoyed the fun.
Do I recall DeLongis appeared for the greatsword segment? Nice little demo, as I remember.
I remember thinking the Shaolin were very impressive too

The Green beret vs Speznetz was pretty cool...the different weaponry from each combatant is very interesting.

Is that the TV series where the ex-SF guy learns about various warrior cultures and goes through his paces with experts in their fighting methods ? I kind of thought it was a case of that he was real ex-SF, but they are only re-enactors. Imagine if they teleported real warriors to fight against !
If you read Donald Morris' book "The Washing Of The Spears", it has a good account of Shaka’s life. He certainly wasn’t the forgiving type ! The way he encouraged his warriors to go barefooted is pretty severe ! The book title refers to a Zulu rite of passage - to bloody the spears in battle.
That reminds me, can you remember which Scottish regiments took part in the Zulu War ?
I remember the 21st RSF, 91st Argyllshire Hldrs and the 99th Lanarkshire. I can't remember if the 90th Perthshire LI were there ?
