I leave Texas and it snows.... up here in Illinois... Wind chill brings the temp down to 9f. I was told that four inches was on the ground around Houston, with snow landing all over the state.. and none of the snow that was forcasted for this area... But they scare me with reports of significant snow in the forcasted next week.

I second that!
One of the main reasons we moved to Michigan from Texas was for snow. Bah!
Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing the pics.

Some of us (here in Canada!) had snow long ago already, in early October; green leaves were left frozen on the trees, so we never really had an autumn. Then it warmed up again, and I put away the shovel, but we had more than a few inches of the white stuff fall last night, and more through the day. I'm just heading out to shovel again.

Got about a foot of snow today. Schools closed, roads plowed, went to work like normal, well almost, had my truck in 4wheeldrive on the way into work. Passed a co-worker in the driveway at work, he was bragging the other day about getting 35mpg with his little honda, he couldn't get up the driveway today , asked him if he got 35 feet to the gallon today.

We've had a total of 2" here in ManiSNOWba.
Btw...it's not global warming. It's simply the redistribution of the cold weather, that's all. We Canadians simply felt that we were hogging all the cold weather, so we've decided to share it with the rest of you. Enjoy!!

I, for one, appreciate it. Thanks, Canada!

It was a sunny 65F in Newark, NJ, when I got on the plane at 2:50pm (EST) to come home to 32F and snow on the ground. I thought I was in some sort of backward, alternate universe until I walked into my house after a week away.

We got it here in Va also. Only a small amount stuck anywhere, because the ground is just way too wet. We've has several inches of rain since lase Wednesday, and it rained most of the day testerday before the temperatures dropped enough to turn into snow. I guess that with the amounf falling late yesterday afternoon, we would have several inches on the ground had it been a few degrees colder.
