I did a case study on Ikea in my international business class a few years ago. There is a wealth of information out there on the company in print and online. I remember discussing how hard it was for Americans to accept their furniture at first because it was too small for our standards. Maybe you can try something along those lines. Good luck on your paper.

I work for them for the last ten years and they have had quite an effect on the modern world.

I'd go with the Virgin group of companies, it's story is amazing and very well documented, it's ethical in it's outlook and always looking to expand in ways that would make other companies run a mile at some of the stuff they have undertaken.....!

All FANTASTIC suggestions, people! Haven't decided yet -- need to in the next 24 hrs, but right now IKEA is the front runner... I'm also thinking about some of the kilt companies or AT&T....

    And the winner is.....

    <drumroll> brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........pum....

    Anheuser-Busch Inbev.

Thank you to cajunscot for the winning suggestion... And thank you to everyone else who responded and gave me some awesome ideas! I really had a tough time deciding between all of them. The three finalists were Inbev, IKEA, Levi Strauss, in that order.

    Cheers,

    Jim
