A splendid formal outfit, no wonder they were talking all about you!
If I may offer one small suggestion though for the next time you don your finery. I would forgo the pocket watch and chain with any black or white tie outfit. For one reason, they don't look quite right with the three button waist coat. Another is that when is dressed to the nines like that time should be unimportant.

They are the hand knitted aran hose found at Scotweb (Product link), and I must say they are quite magnificent. Knitted to measure and will most definitely keep you warm and snug as a bug!
