I have always really liked the Black Stewart tartan. It's so very formal and dignified.
There's a pipe band in San Francisco, Prince Charles, which has worn that tartan for many years and their kilts look great, pleated to the stripe, so that red shows across the back.
Here they are:

Kilt On!
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.

Hi Matt,
Congratulations! SWK make a fine kilt. You will enjoy wearing it, and you will likely have it by the weekend!
So I guess talking to you about kilts and this site make this my fault?
Cheers!
Paul

Greetings,
Yes. I hold you solely responsible for my dilemna. ith: You realise of course that this means we have to take the ladies out for St. Patty's Day now in kilted fashion. And it only gets worse from here. Now I have to save up the two grand for a ScotWeb PC outfit in my own tartan. This is all your fault! You are a bad bad man. I sentence you to sharing a few wee drams of scotch with me at your earliest convenience LOL.
With Greatest Respect,
Matt
