Very nice gifts. Although not a tailor myself, I found "The Art of Kiltmaking" very useful in learning about the construction of a proper kilt before ordering my first kilt. Be sure to post photos of your projects for us

Congratulations! As a DIYer who sometimes approaches the level of mediocrity, I love to make things, but would never attempt a kilt.
You will do great, however. Keep us posted.

Yes, I can't wait to get the book and see how it looks! Christopher told me that he is excited about me getting back to sewing soon (he knows how much I've missed it). He wanted to get me a nice and informative sewing book, but didn't know which book to get me. He then remembered I've been wanting this one for a long time and just had to get it for me. I'm sure it will be full of excellent information!
Thanks for the replies, everyone!

Well, I got my kilt a couple Valentine's Days ago because Cynthia loves the kilt, so Barb's books seemed fitting.
I look forward to pitching in and helping where I can, but I am not very skilled when it comes to sewing.
It's a great book!

Well well well... it's nice to see you here for the first time in forever, Christopher! You should visit more often!
Yes, it was a wonderful gift because I really wanted the book. Thanks so much for getting it for me! You're a wonderful help, but most of all because you're so supportive.
