Lovely...post a video sometime so we can bask in its sonic glory. I think it's found a good and appreciative owner.
Years ago, the mother of a girl that I was dating knew that I played some guitar so she brought Grandpa's Old Martin out of the closet. It was one of those ones from the '30's. It sounded absolutely awful. All I can say is that Grandpa should have invested in a good case and changed the frickin' strings once in a while! In retrospect, I'm damn lucky that i didn't cut a finger on one of those strings because I would have most certainly contracted tetanus from it. It had to stay the way it was as per family tradition so I didn't even suggest anything so radical as putting new strings on it. I still expect to see it on the Antiques Roadshow some day.
