Well, the computer arrived. I had to check it as it was too bulky for carry-on. It didn't arrive on the next flight as promised and that's why I was bored. I couldn't go shopping because I was expecting the box anytime, so I was 'working', on duty. Can't fault an airline because of thunderstorm delays, but seriously, why was one little box sitting at Logan for more than 24hrs?
It took 6 phone calls to baggage customer service, three of which took more time than needed because I couldn't understand the thick accent of the agents. I have to say, United has THE worst baggage customer service EVER.
Anyway, the computer is here, and I'm installing it right now. But, you say, how can I be installing while I'm posting here? I'm currently on a conference call with Hfx and 'working' disrupts my headset, typing doesn't.

Ah but it used to have great baggage customer service, until 9/11.
I remember as a youngster going on road trips with my mom (who works for United) to deliver bags that had been delayed. We lived in Billings, MT and often drove to Bozeman, Missoula, West Yellowstone, all over Montana. And we got to stay in nice hotels at United's expense. Me and my younger brother and sister would fight over who's turn it was to keep my mom company.

Sounds like fun!
I was very understanding when I found out that the box was delayed. You can't help thunderstorms and I was lucky to even to get to LA myself, but when the box sits and sits and sits in Boston, while flight after flight leaves Boston for LA, I got a little irritable.
