Thanks to everyone for supporting this raffle efforts. Just a reminder that the Taste of Scotland Festival is tomorrow.
We have been advertising that the drawing will be at the end of the Festival. Though the "festival day" proper is mostly Saturdy, the festival really runs through Sunday with a special Family Day at the Scottish Tartans Museum featuring free ice cream, children's activities, music, etc.
We've decided to actually draw the name on Sunday during Family Day, so that gives people the FULL DAY Saturday to purchase their tickets on line. I'll take the on-line purchase option down on Saturday evening.
Can't wait to see who wins!

I weighed in on this for the fun of it. I don't need the kilt myself as I make them and have three box pleated kilts ATM, so if I win I may select a lucky rabble member...

Sounds like the chances of our un-kilted rabble are increasing by the day...

And now we're all dying to know who won. (I guess if I haven't been contacted it must not be me...
Was it a rabble member or did the prize go to someone else?

Sorry for not putting this up yesterday, but I didn't want to make the announcement here until the winner was contacted first.
AND THE WINNER IS.........
Dominic (NCMC) who will have his traditional four yard box pleated kilt made in the MacLeod of Harris ancient tartan, Lochcarron 16 oz cloth.
Congrats, Dom! I know you've wanted one of my kilts for a while and I'm happy to be making it for you.
For those of you wondering whether the raffle was a success for the museum, let me assure you that it was, very much so. We still need to do a total ticket count to see exactly how much money was raised in the end, but I can tell you now that it was definitely a success -- we just need to see how much of a success.
Thanks again to all who entered!
Aye,
Matt
