Hi, Jonathan, and welcome to XMTS from the bottom end of Africa.
Going by my mother’s antecedents I could probably wear both Lindsay and McGregor, but I envy you in having such a fine district tartan (Blue Bonnet).
South Africa doesn’t have such things yet, although I have designed a good few on Scotweb.
I could also wear my regimental tartan, but I feel a need to break away from that mould.
At any rate, you have a kilt already. I have yet to make a purchase, and I am getting the jones – it is 33 years since I last wore my army kilt, and I had become somewhat attached to it after nine years of keeping it.
Regards,
Mike

Hey Mike!
Well I do have a kilt, but not my Blue Bonnet yet! Just ordered it! I have a Great Kilt. Don't know what clan it is from. Just liked the colors, and bought the fabric. Only shop in Houston that sold Tartan Wool fabric! 287.00 for 8 yards. In my pick, I'm the one in the middle. I have it on wrong! lol. My buddy in the Crown Royal Kilt, helped, but I learned a year later how to properly put it on. It is a pain! So, my new one will be a blessing! I then have to order, my Smith Tartan, and Clifford Tartan, as My Smith's were Irish Lords, who changed their name from Clifford to Smith, when they fled Ireland. But I can say, I love wearing it! Comfortable, comfortable, comfortable! You should design one for South Africa!!!

Thank You Billy!!! Hey I'm just getting my Texas Kilt Society of Houston group going. Need members. It's listed on here under social groups! Or on Facebook, under same name. Come and join us! Like I said it's brand new, so spread the word around, if you have any friends in H-Town who wear kilts!
Thanks,
Jonathan
