Well done, laddie!
Nice work there too.
What! No bolt of lightening? Is the ground not trying to swallow you up?
So how do you feel with your new fashion statement?

Thanks everyone for the comments! I may have to post better pictures of the sporran. It is amazingly beautiful. The few at work who know I have lusted after HRH's sporran (I have pictures posted in my workspace) were more than impressed with it.
I've been wearing kilts to work enough now that people don't stare anymore. I've gone with everything from very casual (kilt and company polo, or kilt and a sweater) to very dressy (kilt, argyle jacket and waistcoat, and tie). The company is now foreign-owned and places high emphasis on variety in culture, so if anyone gets too rude I just ask them to accompany me to HR to discuss it further. ;)
This outfit wasn't a huge leap for me, though I had never worn a patterned shirt AND a striped tie at the same time. I will certainly do it again! I'm sure I can get a little more bold with the ties - it was really hard to find one that didn't clash horribly with at least two of the colors in the Price of Wales. My other kilts are all more "normal" colors.

adsmguy, you look the BIZ! For starters, I love the Prince of Wales tartan... I wasn't familiar with it until I saw you wearing it, but now have added it to my "green (with envy) list".
Love that the hose, jacket, and tie don't match, but coordinate, in a not-American way. As a guy who bought 7 black suits in a row (and the others all fitted, so it wasn't a replacing situation) I know the discomfort that comes from not MATCHING, and you pull it off like a pro.
As a craftsman, there is little in this world as rewarding as the satisfaction a client gets from a product I've made. I'm thrilled beyond words at your pleasure with the sporran, and the reception it's received in your workplace (ooohs and ahhhs are always wonderful, aren't they? ).
BTW: Cheers, mate, on the new company policy of diversity and cultural inclusion. Nothing like a top-down mandate to be 'more YOU'- ie bust out the kilt. I'm making it my life's goal to never have to wear tr*users again... I'll let you know how it goes.

Careful there... this is the "Rice/Price of Wales" 'name' tartan (ITI 5754) designed in 2002 by Sheila Daniel of Cambrian Woollen Mill in Powys, Wales. The "Prince of Wales" tartan (ITI 3306) is quite different. It's an odd beast - the warp and weft are different, there are odd numbers of threads, and in this case, there is even a single gold thread. The colors are maroon, olive, navy, dark blue, and dark gold. Since I am a descendant of Rhys ap Gruffydd, though, I had to have it whether it is classified as a tartan or not!

Hi, ADSMguy – while there have been snotty-nosed remarks on the Scottish Register of Tartans website about Welsh tartans (particularly their asymmetry), I like most of the designs, and feel that the Price of Wales is a rather handsome one.
Since the Scots invented tartans, they have also cornered some of the most obvious designs. I think it innovative of the Welsh mill that they have used atypical patterns.
Your outfit looks very good indeed.
Regards,
Mike

Very classy. The ties in place of flashes are a nice touch. Good looking sporran too. Is it as functional as it is nice looking.
