Navillus--nice hat! I plan on running the warrior dash in Conroe (East Texas) in March and had a question...do you think you need the buckle and strap to hold the kilt on in the mud or would Velcro work? I'm torn between a casual or semitrad from USAkilts--really don't want to pay $200 for kilt to run in and get muddy. thanks and welcome!

Hi Doug,
Sorry for the delay the holidays are finally over. The kilt will get wet as well as muddy. If you want a cheaper kilt I would try Stillwater Kilts, they have an Economy Kilt that runs around $50. That's what I ran in and it even came out clean enough that I wore it for Christmas.
Good Luck

Navillus--muddy to means I need to leather and buckles. And, Teflon coating might be nice. Running in a Campbell kilt is a definite want for the dash and for hanging out...so, when I get home tonight, I'll get my wife to measure me for a USAKilt semitrad.
