I hate when eBay and fate get together to guarantee that I'll be spending more money
Great story, John, and a fantastic score.

Great, and happy story. Very pleased for you and your happiness. Your comment about an "addiction" of sorts hits a little close to home here too, with 14 kilts and more on the way, but mine appears to be sporrans and hose. Luckily no knew hose in the last couple months, but a couple sporrans in route right now. Does anybody really need 10 or 12 sporrans, or 14 kilts (except Hamish of course)? Wife is talking about the mini-collection as an investment now rather than just a section of my closet. May be time to slow down. I did not say stop, but at least slow down, for me. Afterall how many day sporrans can one guy really need. And yes, it is mostly ebay to fault, after my own culpability.

I am fighting the urge at the moment. I found a pair of surplus new parade shoes. They are the perfect size and they are a great price but I just don't know if I should be spending money. Granted it is a reasonably small purchase but to make the postage fee worthwhile I will have to buy some other things ... like some army pullovers and maybe more.

My latest ebay addiction is Harris tweed jackets/blazers. I've acquired a few over the last few months, and check nearly daily to see what's available.
Congrats on the find, EB. Will you be wearing it on the oil well?

Well, John, addiction/obsession or not, you were in luck this time.
Not a perfect kilt, but it looks good and it fits you.
And perhaps if you wear this one at the pub, your Lindsay Modern won’t be ruined with beer!

Mike

I’ll accept that, John, but what about your drinking buddies?

Very nice kilt, EB! I like it. It tempts me to hunt down a kilt of my own on eBay.
