    Greetings,

Yeah looking at the first pics it does look white, but at a closer view it does look yellow, and I do think it is a cameron of erracht tartan but done by a different weaver, cause on the registers notes it states similar sett but with the yellow making it appart from the macdonell of glengarry.

MacDonald of Glengarry, MacDonell of Glengarry (White Pivot):

    http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=2382

Cameron of Erracht, different weaver (Yellow Pivot):

    http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=5258

Another note: though the green looks different in the register pic, it is still a green and possible this version of cameron of erracht is the one in the pics. The pivot is a yellow and is a version of cameron of erracht done by a different weaver, though weathered it still shows the pivot as a yellow, cause it is brighter than a muted or weathered white.

    All the best,

    Graham

EDIT: I just realised my error, the red lines of the pics, the white/yellow pivot is on the green but with both pivot reds. (The Pivot White I still think it is Yellow)

I think I follow - you thought: http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=5258 was the same as the kilt but now realise that the setting is wrong and that in fact the kilt is http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=2382 other than you think the pale line in the kilt is yellow rather than white?

The kilt material is definitely the Glengarry setting but whether the line is white or yellow is not completely clear from the picture but as I see white in some areas, know how silk discolours over time and. most importantly, know that the sett with a yellow line is note previously know makes me feel that it's the Glengarry with a discoloured white. I look inside the pleats and/dye analysis would confirm this supposition.
