At Murrayfield in Edinburgh for Scotland's final 6 Nations Rugby International against the Azzurri. A credible winning performance for Scotland. It was a day for kilts and there were plenty about, its always good to see so many of both sexes and covering all ages in tartan attire.

As we were standing at the bus stop in Leith Walk. our hotel was down at the Western Harbour, 3 young lads walked by, all were kilted and obviously at the match and casually dressed. They stopped about 10 yards by the bus stop where their car was parked. Instead of getting into the car, they opened the boot and proceeded to dress from their casual informal attire to formal, obviously the kilts did not come off but the rugby shirts did and were replaced with formal shirts as was the footwear. Ties and Prince Charlie jackets were also produced.
So here we had 3 lads getting prepared for an evening wedding(they told me that) in broad daylight at the top of Leith Walk.
Its a pity that no video camera was around as this was a great advert for kilt wearing whether informal or formal.
By the time they were fully formally dressed, they were like different people, looking very smart and totally upmarket, although they looked good casually dressed, is there anything to beat wearing the full formal kilt outfit, its got to be the best dress in the world
