Just got the update from the band's management... Jamesie is already out of the hospital (a few days early). He won't be playing gigs for a little bit, but he's recovering nicely and is VERY lucky ("He was stabbed in the leg and in the chest and the knife may have just nicked his liver").

The guy who stabbed him USED to be their roadie. He's a large guy who likes his Jack Daniels and drinks it by the bottle. He wasn't an official roadie for them any more, but he was handing them water, strapping on equipment, etc at this show.

After the show, they went to a bar-b-q and there were lots of people including kids. This guy was drinking heavily and was getting 'inappropriate' and Jamesie said something to him. Knowing Jamesie, it was probably a very 'direct' comment and the guy snapped.

Glad to hear he's doing OK.

It probably didn't help the situation any that it's been hotter than blue blazes in Kentucky. On Sunday, the temp there was 93 F, but the humidity was between 70-80%, so it felt like well over 100 F. Louisville's seeing 94 F today, heat index is already at 100 F in some places, and there's a second air quality alert for this week. (Louisville's about 100 miles north of Glasgow, KY.)

I just did a check on their FaceBook page, and it seems Jamsie has been released from the hospital and is recovering reletively well.
