Been there, done that. Can go through a ship like wild fire.

Luckily (or unluckily) it only last 4 hours normally for me but I get it so bad that I end up with an IV in each arm.

Hope you get better. Remember to hydrate once you can keep it down. Pediasure is good for people but it would be good to see a doctor.

You have my deepest sympathy, Josh. It probably happens to all of us at some point.
It is still most unpleasant, and I trust you are feeling better.
And as Jim (Drac) says, be sure to hydrate (when you can keep it down).
Flat Coke is good for that. And as a South African I can heartily recommend rooibos tea (preferably unsugared).
    Regards,
    Mike

PS: I don’t have shares in rooibos tea, but my brother works for a rooibos co-operative.

    This.

It's possible that others are getting sick from it too. If you don't report it, the word won't get out. People can DIE from this, Josh. It's important to help the 'powers that be' keep track of tainted food. You're a strong healthy man, and look what it did to you. Would you want someone's elderly grandmother or precious baby daughter to risk death by eating food from the same batch, if they could avoid it through community alerts?

I had the same experience many moons ago while living in Vietnam as a civilian and all alone in my house in Danang. Sick for two days with no one to look in on me and no one to miss me. All in all a horrible experience. I'm glad yours passed, so to speak, and you are none the worse for wear.

Glad you're feeling better too! Reminds me of a nasty bug (norovirus) I caught a few years ago. Not pleasant. I was weak for 2 weeks afterward.

I echo the sentiment that if at all possible, IF there were any leftover, or maybe even the empty container, contact the CDC. They track outbreaks and something like this could possibly be very valuable info to them in saving others from a similar fate.

As you know Sydnie, I live in Lomita so I hope this place is out of business. I do check the Daily Breeze weekly list of closures.

Ugh. Not fun. I've had it in the past, as most of us have at one time or another. I'm glad yours is over. Hope to never get it again myself, but the odds are never in our favor.

Is it just me, or is this happening with more frequency now? Storebought stuff, i mean.

Feel for ya. I think the only thing worse than food poisoning is getting it on the road. Had it a couple of times when I used to drive over the road. Not fun trying to hurry from your truck to the restroom.
