I haven't had any alcohol in around a year now- blame my doctor.
But at 7pm Monday I'll raise my glass and have a tiny sip of Macallan 18 year, the only thing I have left. (I've given away the rest of my scotch collection.)

Well, I'd had in mind a "wave o' good Scotch whiskey splashing its way around the globe along with the settin' sun..." but the idea of doing both is, I confess, rather appealing too!

To be chinking with Jock you'd have to have your first shot at 14 o'clock Father. Your congregation will start talking about you...

I'm in!
Torn between Laphroaig (a.k.a. "Holy Water"), Highland Park, and The Singleton of Glendullan.
So many here seem to like Laphroaig that, as a matter of solidarity, I'll probably go with that.

I had my wee toast slightly later than 7pm, as I was working till 9. The "whisky tasting" I had agreed to play at turned out to be a group of carnival goers with a Scottish theme to their yearly gathering. As the mob arrived (on bicycles, with orange wigs/lumber-jack-shirt-flannel kilts/Royal Stewart tams) I played Scotland the brave a couples of times, followed by a few sets of tunes, just about melting in the heat (of course it was the first warm (hot!) day here in about a month!), then was politely offered a drink. I didn't see any whisky at all, one of the party-goers offered a sniff of his cola... they were all just mixing it! (I drank water.)
Anyway, it was a fine-spirited thing and I got to enjoy my malt when I arrived home later.
Cheers!
Michael
(Edit: there are photos of me piping, as I saw cameras... someone will no doubt send me one... will post if there are any decent!)

If I'm at home at 7pm local time, I'll be enjoying a glass of Glenkinchie 12 year old and wearing my SK Black Stewart.

Count me in! The malt of choice is "Uisge beatha gu leoir (Whisky Galore) - a Duncan Taylor 2003 bottling of a 15 year old Glen Garioch - a bit of peat, but still wonderful, and worthy of a celebration. My crystal is a small Mason jar.
OC Richard: You're a role model for us all. I will toast your self-restraint and wish you good health.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

At 7:00pm MDT, it will be Glenmorangie for me. Now just a technical question at the behest of my good neighbour. "At 7:00pm, do you start with nothing on and then kilt up?"
