Didn't know there was such a breed as Veggie Haggis! I thought a Haggis was lamb's meat and some veg etc!!!! This must be like a veggie Cornish Pastie. Perish the thought.
My upbringing in Scotland taught me that if it didn't walk at some time in its life it was not worth eating.

Aww Jock, grouse?! You are killing me! That is wonderful stuff!!! I don't always eat canned haggis, but when I do, it's Baxter's.

PEEDYC, that is the diet I grew up with in small town South. Of course there aren't many in the South that don't have a bit of Scots ancestry. My saying was always, "salad is what food eats".

To be honest when I lived in Scotland I always bought Haggis from the local butcher and never in a tin. My wife is a vegetarian and I think she eats the tinned veggie one you mentioned. At the Burns Supper I attend here in New England we had a member who managed to get it served to us via the Diplomatic Bag of HM Consul-General, as the US FDA is very strict about sheep offal.

Risking the wrath of the OP, here's one of a few recipes I've made and I liked it the best.

I'm afraid you may have to explore the shopper's jungle along the Amazon dot com. More seriously, a local "British goods" shop has a brand of tinned haggis that is commonly available in the U.S., and yes, they offer a vegetarian version. So, once you find your source online, check the local specialty shops, as this will give you a reason to go into them. Just don't blame me if your credit card gets overheated.
