Well done indeed! To say its a great personalized take on a well known style, may not be accurate, I think it's a completely new style. I don't know how you guys come up with these outside the box ideas, but I am sure impressed when they work well. I guess that ability is at the core of all innovation and progress though isn't it?

I wanted to add that my thoughts for the jacket was one of a more modern yet dressy look which was why I had envisioned the arc as being that little twist to make it different, as well as keeping the original pockets. My wife picked out the buttons which I personally think make the jacket (figures, the one thing I didn't have my hand in would be the most important part of it. LOL) the great thing about the jacket is that it is split in the back so when the front is buttoned it is not restricting at all. I will attempt to get a picture of it and post more. Again I'm glad to have been able to show it off to you guys and am looking forward to many more SAPs (Salvation Army Projects) in the near future.
Very sharp. I have to agree I was a little hesitant, but it looks outstanding! I may have to go track down a pea coat because as Spartan Tartan pointed out, winter has definitely made an entrance in Oklahoma.
One very rarely sees an arched sporran cutaway, so this is quite a rare looking jacket. I'm very impressed with how unique it looks while still being classic.

Nice job! It looks retro yet rather modern. I've been sitting on a couple of double breasted jackets with no clue what to do with them. This might look pretty good, but I don't think I can steal your look. That's just way too original
