Re: My Accessories for a wedding this weekend.
Awesome to hear from you again. I will also be attending a wedding in a little more than a month. I will be wearing a cream and brown herring bone jacket and waistcoat to a evening wedding.not that I don't want to wear evening wear.I just don't have it. The more I think about it though most people attending have no idea what tradition would dictate to wear. Anyway I'm glad to see you around again.
Let YOUR utterance be always with graciousness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how you ought to give an answer to each one.

I removed the coastie pin, And will swing by the Surplus store to see if they have anything more appropriate. I always wondered why it looked off.
Thanks Cowher. Its nice to come back after a while. Life got in the way a while, and i needed a break from forums. This is a day wedding, and I want to look nice, but not over-done.

Well, today is the day, and everything is being prepped and final inspection done before donning. This will be my first Semi-dress even in kilt in quite a long time. I had to go with a blue tie, since there wasnt a solid red one in the right shade to be found.
I hope that isnt too much blue. lol.

Quick note. The SEALs emblem the eagle is holding a trident not an anchor. ( trained w/a few of these crazy guys while I was EOD)... Besides the point, that kilt is very sharp and the extra flair w/ spats is classic( I love that look anyways). Looking forward to the pics

HAHA Dave, I actually knew that. My Squadron did some work with the SEALs. I never got around many Coasties though, other than the occasional few at the Galley.
Thanks. Ill be sure to get some pics up ASAP.

Only Pic so Far, More to come. The kilt looks low, but I assure you, its the angle. And I have virtually No legs.

Looking good there, I especially like the spats. Even though they have fallen out of favour for traditional civilian kilt wear, they still look sharp to me.

Thanks man. I am in the same boat. I think they look sharp, and I feel sharp in them. I also have small ankles and huge calves. Damn things look like state fair turkey legs, so the spats help fill it out a bit.
