Thanks. That's the Carolina tartan in a special weave from Lochcarron that my brother and I had done a little over a decade ago. You won't see it elsewhere in that color scheme.

Well done laddie! You are looking pretty sharp there! Tell me, what is the significance of the yellow hose? Super set of pictures too.

I know on my part, Jock, the yellow hose was just what I pulled on on Saturday morning. No coordination on Kenneth's or my part, I assure you!

No of course not Sandy, perish the thought!

Although, there does seem to have been a "memo" going about that seems to mention yellow hose----------

I like yellow hose! Although with my "hunting past" and the pack I used to hunt with, I would call them "lemon".

Thanks, Jock. There is no significance to the yellow hose (hmmm, is the "memo" joke only on this side of the pond?). I'm sure in the case of Sandy, who has a knack for carrying his preppy style into his Highland attire, it was just what he reached for though I have no doubt there was a least some sub-conscious thought involved. In my case, however, it was a failed attempt at individuality. I mean you can't expect people to find you by saying "look for the guy in the black jacket" (as there are dozens) or "look for the guy in the Carolina tartan" (since few people know what it looks like).

    Sandy,

Were you able to speak with any of the honoured guests from Scotland?

Yes, spent quite a bit of time with Lord Caithness and my old friend Charles McKerrell of Hillhouse. Oh, and Romily Squire.

Wonderful! Then, I am sure that you had a nice time in Glasgow. I wasn't aware that Romily Squire was present at the games. It sounds like Glasgow Highland Games is pretty grand event to be and to be seen. Hmmm, I think Stephanie and I will be busy with attending games and gatherings this time next year!

    Cheers,

Sorry I missed Glasgow (and Caithness, he's worth a guinea a minute in my book). Did Dunrossil make it up from Texas? I met him for the first time at Greenville and he's another first rate chap.

Boy, have I been missing out! I can't wait to attend some of these games to have the opportunity and distinct pleasure of meeting these fine men.

    Cheers,
