Gentlemen, I appreciate the compliments. These are my first two attempts, maybe I'm doing it right after all.
Friday,
I'm also retired and drawing a meager pension. I had a part time job after I retired, but evidently I don't play well with others. At least that's the impression I got from the shop where I worked. I also don't lie to customers just to sell them something they don't need. I'm funny that way.
My wife works part time, so I know how you feel. She doesn't keep me in the style I'm accustomed to.
Thank you all for the warm welcome...
Ron

Ron I understand, my wife has met both Rocky (USAKilts) and Matt (Scottish Tartan Museum) and I keep mentioning how pretty this or that kilt looks and still no packages at the doorstep. Maybe I should get a house that has steps to the door? I will say that I think you could start a little side business making Sgians. I'll just take a simple one as your business consultant.

If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

Do you have another yet-to-be-wed daughter? I could use one of those sgian dubhs, too. Those knives are gorgeous.
(Congratulations to both you and your daughter.)

Nope! Just one daughter. I wasn't intending to make them to sell, but I may reconsider at some point in the future. They're kind of a labor of love, and would be difficult to part with. At this time last year I didn't even know what a Sgian Dubh was.

Unixken I am confused, are you asking to marry his second daughter (assuming there is one) or do you just want the sgian dubh? Be careful disrespecting daughters of men who make knifes and do custom gun work. It could be hazardous to your kilt wearing.
Yes we all know there was not disrespect intended, but, I couldn't let it pass.
