Alright, the first look at what I've done so far! This is the kilt (still in progress) after a test fitting on my dad.
Here is the under-apron


The over-apron


and the pleats


Like I said before I had to use two different fabric colors since I was short on length with just one color. stitching the different segments of the pleats together was very difficult, but after a few freak outs about not having enough fabric I finally got it all figured out.

Did you decide against the red stripe?

I'm still doing the red stripes, I just haven't put them on yet, I'll be putting them on the center a pleat on each side, but I'll do that closer to finishing.

Ah, gotcha. I thought you were going to do one pleat on each side in red. Stripe would be easier to put on. Keep us posted.
