I thought I had counted your stitches accurately.
Could a Glengarry not be made from a round bonnet, blocked into a Glengarry shape? Knit it and felt it just like a normal round bonnet, but use a taco shell holder (or something similar) to block the wet felt. If it didn't work, you still wind up with a round bonnet (after rewetting).
The Folk Hats book has an unfelted Glengarry that's made similar to yours, except the crown is knit in two halves, each growing out of the side band, and then the center sts are worked together with Kitchener stitch (grafting).

From what I've read, it is thought that the glengarry did evolve out of a tam/balmoral style bonnet shaped with the sides folded up - I haven't tried blocking a round bonnet like that but there's no reason it shouldn't work - depending on how wide you made the crown of the bonnet I suspect it would look a bit more exaggerated/old-fashioned than modern glengarries - not necessarily a bad thing! (Anne Gilmour's balmoral pattern wouldn't work quite right for that approach, though - the increases for the top are uneven to give it a deliberately cocked/military shape.)

Or turn them into an article and put it in the articles section here on XMarks? Be nice to have the go-to for it when I'm ready to play with it.
