Strange. I drove through Sherwood Forest last Saturday on my way back from Mansfield. Didn't see anything except loads of trees, a few deer, and everything was covered in snow. Had some decent ale in Edwinstowe, but nobody mentioned anything about a fair - it was too cold to be outdoors anyway. Much nicer to sit by the open log fire in the pub eating a venison sandwich.
