Hello and Welcome to X Marks, the world's largest and most active on-line gathering place dedicated to the kilt.

This forum is an active, vibrant and varied community. Anyone with an interest in the kilt will be welcome. You don't have to be Scottish, you don't even have to own a kilt yet.
We have found that those who get the most out of X Marks are those who put the most into it. A willingness to share knowledge and experiences with other members is the biggest strength of this forum. We hope you will be an active and participating part of that strength.

A caution to new registration

We are currently experiencing a huge increase in attempts by spammers to register to X Marks. We may have ended up on some spammer list or it just may be the spammers probing the entire web looking for weak sites.

X Marks actively screens every new registration in an effort to keep this forum free from the spam and ads from spammers.

As the favorite tool for spammers are VPN services and TOR we are currently taking extra caution from any new registration using one of these services.

If you register to X Marks and are using a VPN or TOR please understand that the use of these services may result in your acceptance being delayed or rejected outright as these services may have also been used by a spammer and may show up on the published lists of spammers.

This sub-section is the place on X Marks where the subject of weapons may be posted or discussed. All posts on weapons will be made here or moved here without notice.
(For the purpose of this forum, “Weapon” is defined as anything that is designed for, or is being used to, injure.)
(A personally owned item being offered for sale would still be posted to the "For Sale" section and would be subject to the guidelines of that section.)

Posts to this section are governed under Rule 11 and violations of these definitions may be flagged as a possible violation of rule 11 and may be subject to immediate removal.

What may be posted.

Any discussion, question, or pictures where a weapon is displayed as, or is intended as, an accessory to a kilt. This includes and is limited to:

Those weapons that have a historical precedence or accepted association with the kilt.

Those weapons which are items issued to kilted military units.

Museum pieces, or replicas of kilt accessories.

DIY projects that are kilt accessories.

Kilted historical re-enactment units. (see note above)

Static displays and color guards at Highland Games.

Items of costumes, or toys.

What may not be discussed, posted or linked to.

The posting, pictures, or discussion of any weapon without a historical precedence of association with a kilt.

Any modern weapon not being used by kilted military units.

Any discussion over or about the US 2nd Amendment.

Any discussion of Martial Arts or Self-Defense.

Any weapon being used, or threatening to be used, to injure.

Any posting, pictures or discussion of hunting. Specifically 'Trophy Photos'.

Any photos or discussion of techniques, or kilt accessories for, ‘concealed carry’.

Any member who does not wish to see or discuss weapons may choose to ignore this forum section.
To ignore the weapons section please go to the upper left corner of any page. Click on the Forum Tab. Scroll down to this section and click on the section title. Directly above the list of threads in this section, in the light blue bar, you will find a button titled Forum 'Tools'. Click there and then "Ignore This Forum".

Picture of me holding a copy of the William Wallace Sword

Sorry folks this is the Wallace sword came to my home town, I JUST stumbled upon the pictures these are several years ago and I'm several pounds lighter I just thought it was cool and that you guys would appreciate the coolness of it!
