Oxblood shoes
One of my favourite shoe styles is the oxblood brogue. The colour is rich, especially when well polished. I know one can mix and match leathers but does anyone make a sporran in oxblood?

I've never seen one but I'm hardly as experienced as most of the forum members here. I like the idea though. I'll be starting making my first sporran a week from Saturday (been taking leather work classes at a local Tandy Leather store and the next class is a sporran! I'm dying from anticipation) and that one probably won't be oxblood but I'm adding that to my list of colors to try for future sporrans.

Hi Wardog,
I like Oxblood ( aka Cordovan) shoes, too. I think they might be better with a fur sporran or a black one. I have yet to see an oxblood colored one, but it might be nice. If you poke around a while, you will find a number of people who prefer to always wear black shoes, even when wearing a brown sporran. I recently wore some eusty brown suede shoes. I did not wait for a rusty brown suede sporran- I just wore my brown hair-on cowhide one.
Some take the high road and some take the low road. Who's in the gutter? MacLowlife

I believe Xman has a soft hunting sporran in oxblood created by Artificer.
Artificer also created one with a brass cantle.

I am one of those who wear black brogues with brown sporrans and belts

It took some doing, but I have moved to the "any colored sporran with black shoes camp" away from "all leather must match".
I have not yet arrived in the "any color shoes with any color sporran leather"... I have worn brown shoes with black sporran twice.
That said I would be perfectly comfortable with oxblood shoes and a sporran in either black or brown, but probably not oxblood.
I am probably overthinking this.

Donnie Hailey of Wyvern Leatherworks makes sporrans from oxblood leather. He is one of the forum advertisers and a lovely man to deal with.
Both Scott (Artificer) and Donnie (Wyvern) are master craftsman and would make you a sporran to last a lifetime .

Despite the advice of my Wife's Grandfather - Jock Morrison, some 35 years ago when I first donned a kilt, I like to "match" leathers, including shoes. His advice was to always wear black shoes, and many of the traditional kilt wearers here follow that advice. I like the look of tan shoes with a tan sporran and belt for day wear, or oxblood shoes with matching belt and sporran in your case.
Cheers...Bill
