Not to hijack the thread; wait it's my thread so I can do as a I like. Trousers were originally made high waisted and with no pockets so it makes me wonder what they would be like today if people maintained the notion that they should never evolve too, and to maintain them strictly as they are for the sake of tradition.
While the kilt may be fantastic for a lot of people just the way it has always been, there are a growing number of people who expect a more practical functional garment for their dollar. Fighting evolution is like fighting the wind, you may be able to put up a wind break for a while, but sooner or later nature always wins. There is more than enough room in the kilt fashion world for all types of kilts. I personally love the look of a traditionally worn kilt but find the few I have being worn less and less as they don't have the functionality of pockets, so I have either sold them or if possible rebuilt them with pockets.

Now that's enough of that, back to simply focussing on a cool looking ( IMO ) rebuild kilt.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Interesting take on the kilt, good to see it being well used, and at least you have created something that suits your needs and is pretty functional. It's good to see the kilt being used outside of the 'traditional' way.
