My screen name is my name. My avatar is me, standing in front of my house in typical out-and-about attire. My sig file is a description of how I think of myself, and a quote from a Heather Alexander song about the aftermath of a battle. I use the same name, avatar and sig file in a number of fora. As the spinach eater said "I yam what I yam!".

frank_a is the user name I have for a number of forums I've been on over the years. I bet a lot of you are also forum junkies, as they are a great place to find info, just like XMTS! Anyway, the posed avatar is me in full casual kit. I have changed the avatar as I have acquired new kit. It will change again. My signature is simply the Campbell slogan, Latin for "forget not." Cheers! Frank

The screen name of JohntheBiker was a reflection of an activity that is very much part of my persona and was arrived at in the moment (you are signing up and you need a screen name right then).
The avatar was a shot taken in the Highlands that reflected some of the rugged beauty of Scotland. Kilted, of course:

No signature, as yet. Still thinking about it.

My screen name is made up from my Rank, also my MOS: 18C and my name. My Avatar: just a nice pic taken while smoking a fine cigar and sipping a single malt in the back yard. My signature: I am a Sherlockian and this is just a famous quote in Latin.

quamvis, debet esse veritas.

Having worked in I.T. for a number of years I am very aware of the potential risks inherent in the internet so chose a name recalled from a rather questionable schoolboy joke - Philip McCavity and, surprise, surprise when I joined here no-one else called Phil had beaten me to it.
As to my avatar I have to be a little circumspect here but it comes from a "Scotsman" cartoon and depicts Scootland's First Minister playing an unusual set of pipes. I will say no more on that.

Mine is my love of music especially blues, along with bluegrass, celtic & r&r plus my heritage (mostly celtic). So bluescelt had a nice ring to it. My avatar is me playing my mandolin.

My screen name is a combination of my real name and job. I go by Richard or Rich and I work for Union Pacific Railroad. My signature is because I'm a home brewer for a hobby and love history. My current avatar was a picture taken for our local Scottish clan society calendar . It was taken at the Old train depot in Sparks, Nevada.

My Screen Name is my family name "Sharkey" in its original Irish Gaelic.
My Avatar is my personally designed crest based on an earlier "O'Searcaigh" crest but with symbols more appropriate to me.
My signature is meant as a joke, loosely translated as "Master of the Sharkey Funny Farm" (or "happy estate"). As a retired professor of philosophy, religion, community health, and psychiatry and human behavior, the "Rev Doctor…" is also meant as a joke and though ordained, at this point represents no particular church, denomination or religion. All the letters after my name are real degrees, but also meant as a bit of a joke -- who can take any of this all that seriously -- the more letters one acquires, the sillier it gets!!! Cheers!

Screen Name are my initials and that is what many have called me, so it was only fitting.
Avatar I picked because it just spoke to me.
Signature is how I live my life without fear.
