Graham, I don't know if you are making a joke about the site giving the wrong name for the tartan, or if you are just saying that you like the tartan that you see on the site.
Alaskan, I was quoting from the site on the name of the tartan, looks like they have the name wrong. Thanks for the correction.

Just had another look at the site and it is the same shop on the lawnmarket, heritage of scotland, the kilts in question are more like novelty kilts than casual kilts. Personally I wouldn't bother buying one because I just wouldn't wear it as they look so tacky. The same shop does a better version for £50 but they aren't a patch on Bears for quality.

I agree with Rhino (he looks so scarey, I have to agree with him ).
Remember the old adage. "If it looks too good to be true, then it almost certainly is too good to be true."

Hi Rhino
LIke you, I've seen these kilts up close. They're absolute tat and the sort of thing you might wear at a fancy dress party. Anyone thinking of buying - my advice is DON'T. Stick with someone you know, like Bear. You get what you pay for.

My major concern would be the "mystery" fabric. They don't really specify. I've seen some kilts up close (not these) that were made from really cheap material... and they looked pretty baaaaad.

the kilts don't have a full apron inside and out.
they are ok for kickin about in, but are NOT a propper kilt per se.ok for the price, you get what you pay for, I do not know anything about the jackets.

Ahhh, I knew there had to be a catch.! You're probably right. I just had a look at their website. Without the proper apron, ones modesty could be easily compromised... caveat emptor!
