Hank, having been involved in at least one thread that was locked, I can honestly say I don't mind that. I understand how fast it can get hot and out of control.I, for one, appreciate the way you handle the board and keep us from stumbling into mine fields. Having been around BBSs and IRC for some years and having been an op on an IRC channel I know sometimes a discussion needs to be ended before somebody explodes.

Alaskan Celt, both situations you outline are real dangers to the health of a board, I appreciate you outlining them.

One thing is for sure, nothing stands still on this earth, all is either growing or dying.

We all have a role to play in the health of the board, and as interest in kilts grows and fans out all over the world and new members join and catch the excitement, then I'm sure there will be a lot of life left for this forum.

Oftentimes, I hate it when I have gotten used to the way something works and then somebody decides to "improve" it and it doesn't work the way it used to.
