They aren't for me but I can appreciate the skill that it takes to make them. I only wear traditional kilts but if they make others happy then I have no qualms with that.

Some of those are very cool!
I like the Union Jack one... doesn't take sides for one thing.
Which reminds me, at the last World Cup (South Africa) some eejit American reporter was interviewing people in the England supporters' campsite and she kept referring to the English side as "the Britain team" and as "British". The supporters were too polite, or too drunk, to correct her.
I did see, in the current World Cup, some England supporters with Union Jacks, which surprised me.
About that Mexican flag kilt there, well, here there are plenty of Mexican-Americans who play in pipe bands so seeing a kilted "Mexican" isn't unusual. Haven't seen anybody wear a kilt like that though.
There was a Japanese-American guy wearing what he called "The Kilt Of The Rising Sun", basically a white kilt with a big red circle on the front.

I'm not so sure that the English supporters were too polite or drunk to correct her......well certainly not too polite!
They more than likely couldn't care less.....viewing England and Britain as interchangeable.
As for England supporters flying the Union Flag, it's certainly not the first time that has happened!
Likely a case of ignorance, arrogance or a bit of both.

Don't worry, it's not just American reporters that get it wrong, it's also official British organizations! For example, did you see the UK team at the last Olympics - in London yet - referred to as "Team GB"? Wrong, it included competitors from Northern Ireland, so should have been "Team UK". See the UK passport - "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". If we can't get it right, we can't really complain when others don't!
Regards, Sav.
