I just finished a kilt not too long ago in the ancient Clergy Blue tartan, 16 oz weight, in a four-yard box pleated kilt, for a Benedictine monk. He wore it to the Stone Mountain games, if anyone was there and saw him.

I see my blog post on this has already been mentioned. I also had an article in the Scottish Banner paper recently on this topic (covered a lot of the same ground as my blog, actually).

I'm still pining for the Clergy Green Ancient to match my scarf. It's so dark and nice, it'd be perfect as a "tank."

The Muted is nice too, and if I could see the Clergy Blue or Clergy Blue Ancient in a pic, I'd probably go for that, too.

Hey Matt, any pics of your Clergy tartan work?

If budget is a problem you can get a clergy tartan over at SportKilts, they seem to have improved their product, particularly if you order custom length, sewn down pleats, and belt loops to your chosen size of belt.
