    Greetings!
I have a traditional 8 yard kilt made by Alexis, and the quality and craftsmanship is supurb. She's easy to work with, does a great job, and sticks to her delivery promises!

All in all, I've had a great experience dealing with Alexis Malcom kilts!

    Oh my!
All the Irish tartans at this site, and all so beautiful.
It's almost enough to drive a man to steal to pay for them all. Or worse - work!

All of my money for eternity is slowly being siphoned away by beautiful kilts. Thank God for poverty

I keep going back to Alexis Malcolm's site looking at the McCarthy tartan. That's the only site that shows it and I know that I've got to give in and order one. Except for that poverty thing. If poverty builds character like some folks claim then I have more than enough character to share.

The tartan is great. Having several relatives that were Marines and working with 2 retired Marines I have the highest regard for the Corp. I am jealous because I wish I could wear this tartan.

ALSO, where you been DOC? Good to see your still around.

Just in case you're not WAY ahead of me, but I suspect you are, Sportkilts has the Marine Corps tartan in their non-traditional. But I can't get email responses, even from the VP who posted on this board. They sent a sample swatch of the Marine Corps tartan when I ordered a Sportkilt in my clan tartan...how'd they know??

How about the Alexis Malcolm hillwalker hilts. I know someone who is interested in one of those. Anyone know anything about the quality of those? I told my friend I'd ask.

I just got an email back about those from Alexis herself. They are 100% worsted wool, 5 yards of material. For a size 32, it has about 20 pleats in it, and for any production tartan, it goes for $260. It is machine-sewn, but you cant really tell the diference. I hope I was helpful.

Thanks, that sounds great. I'll let my friend know that the hillwalker is a good value for the money he has to spend.
