Thank you all for the kind words.
John is indeed correct. The tartan is Edzel which is the unoffical U.S. Navy tartan. As I am a retired navy chief (submarines), I thought that it was an excellent choice. I am considering the Polaris tartan as my next one. It was the offical tartan of the polaris submarine force stationed in Holy Loch. As I am a former polaris sailor, I think that it would be a good choice.

Holy Loch...
Vince,
Our priest at my church was stationed at Holy Loch in the 1970's; he is now a Colonel/Chaplain in the Army National Guard. I will have to tell him about the Edzell & Polaris tartans; perhaps we can get him in a kilt for St. Andrew's Day after all.
Cheers (b)!
T.

Aloha
No, I am not Scottish/Hawaiian, but I did call Hawaii home from 1976 to 1997. Definately a place that holds many fond memories for me.
Never did aquire a taste for poi though. :P

I understand not getting crazy over poi. I've been here since 1990, and still am not fond of a lot of local food.
