Finally! I've managed to degrade my images sufficiently to upload to the forum. Here I am stylin' in Chitown.

For strolling around downtown in the afternoon the kilt was a USAKilts semi-traditonal in p/v Caledonian. A member listed it for sale a while back, and it being my size, I bought it. It's made a great everyday kilt.

There was discussion here recently about kilt length sweaters. The one seen above works well in that regard. It's a ragg wool item from Cabela's. I'm not sure, but I think the hose are Lewis, I don't like the way they fit, but they do sorta go with the sweater. I go with Steve Ashton's advice to match hose to shirt, or whatever else may be worn above the kilt.

The sporran is by Donnie a Wyvern (see his subforum here.) It's bison hide, closed with a grizzly bear claw.

As I'm writing this, I can see the top picture on my screen, but only a link to the second. I'll never figure out the forum photo thing. I think it's broken.

Anyway, if you click the link you should see an 8-yard kilt in Holyrood Golden Jubilee, worn with a kilt cut suit coat from Freedom Kilts in charcoal grey, with a red/maroon vest also from Freedom. The hose are charcoal pipers hose from J. Higgins. The sporran is a semi-dress muskrat from L&M. Having seen myself in the photo now, I think claret hose might have worked a wee bit better, but not enough to stew over.

I really like the red vest. One will in my future for sure.
