Oy, oy, oy! Why the ruche tie?

But then the whole outfit is over the top, so the ruche is part of it all . . .

    Some more

Now about jackets, this one appears to be well-made but, well, strange

Stranger yet is this very crude conversion attempt

If possible the backside is even uglier

This doublet was actually made this way... look how absurdly long the body is (the good news is that you get plenty of buttons)

Maybe the strangest thing is when a very good tailor produces something so bizarre as this

Now with an exceptionally bright tartan like Buchanan you can tone it down by careful selection of the jacket... or not

Richard, that purple is quite 'eye-catching'. It could be toned down by choosing the 'right' tartan - I hesitate to mention names because I don't want to affect the choice of some of our newer kilt wearers. I would not want to put them off of a beautiful tartan by association...

All of the others definitely belong on this category.

The mini kilts are a bit horrifying. Ladies length? On pipers no less?

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.
