Graham, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughters frustrations and acting out. Having two daughters who are just barely out of their teens I know all too well how self destructive we humans can be. It's entirely too easy for us to allow anger and frustration to lead us to places we don't really mean to go.
You and your daughter will certainly have the prayers of my family and myself that the God you know so well heal both of you.

Graham,
I am at a loss for words, except that my heart goes out to you, your daughter and the rest of the family.
You know that things will work together for good.

Graham:
I pray your daughter may find restful peace for her soul, and mind, coupled with good health for her body. I pray also for your wife and you to find strength, patience, and Gods' good Grace during the healing process and beyond.
Foolishness? Nonsense my friend.

May all your blessings be the ones you want and your friends many and true.

Graham,
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope it's not too serious, and that she's doing all right now (at least physically.) I'll keep you and your family in prayer on this one.
Glen's right...it will work together for good, though we often don't understand the how or the why.

Graham,
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's struggles. I do hope that balance will return to her life soon. Having raised a daughter and a son thru those years, I can understand your anguish.
Do not however change your dress, your strength of character will be a source of strength for your family. And I know that I don't have to remind you that poor decisions made by loved ones are not your decisions. They own them. I wish you strength.

Oh my. I can't say i know you but my thoughts are with you in such a hard time to go threw with any child.
I mean we are all ready for the bumps and bruises and the mean words we say to each other, but some how we always think that is the worst. I truly hope that you can find her some help and she gets threw this time in her life. My thoughts are with you in your time of need.
I agree with David ( Xcop) don't go changing your self. You are going to have to be the rock tower she can look to for strength and if you go changing out of something you strongly believe in she will catch on and not see that as strength.
Like i said my thoughts are with you.

Graham, Over the past 4 or 5 month I feel as though some of you have become close friends. I count you right up there. I am sorry to read about the incident with your daughter. Unfortunately I had to deal with a situation like this some years ago with a parent but the situation did not turn out as well. While the situation is different with a child, my thoughts and prayers are also with you and your daughter and family.
When things get bad I remember 2 key sayings.
1. Everything Works Out Perfectly (EWOP).
2. Just Remember, This To Shall Pass.
I kind of refer to myself as a fatalist. Not in the Negative terms many would think but I just realize that things happen. I try to look for the positive and just know that somewhere in all this there is a positive influence on a human level.
Now, for the other subject. After a VERY bad day I do have a positive link to a kilt. This is almost like taking off the bad day and putting on a new positive attitude.
