The Wicked Tinkers Bangers for Breakfast is pretty good, I've been known to wake up to it with the volume loud enough to shake house foundations. Plus it freaks out the dogs of the neighbor down the road .
Holly Smith-Light from a distant Shore. Unbelievable voice, was only sixteen when she recorded this album.

Yes sir. When Paul MacArthur started it as an academic project, it was Highlander Radio. He keeps the designation around for those who've been around a while.
Celtic Radio better explains the total music from around the world... including North America.
You'll see that BearKilts and XMarks are mentioned on the site. Paul's a GREAT friend of the Celtic community in general, and will bend over backwards to promote anything to do with the tradition and heritage.
I know he's been a GREAT friend to Barleyjuice too!

add a few more
The 5 best Irish bands in the Philly region (and believe me... I've seen them all)...
The Hooligans are made up of EXTREMELY talented individuals. No one can whistle like Mark from the Hooligans (except his brother "Q" from Stone Soup). They have a festival every year that's LOADS of fun... camping/dirnking/music/drinking/eating and Drinking! www.hooligansusa.com
Stone Soup also has a great Whistler. They're more "laid back" and funky sounding. www.stonesoupband.com
[b]Bogside Rogues[b] have a fun loving acordian player and a great guitar player. AND they're genuinely nice guys. http://bogsiderogues.com/
[b]Dicey Riley[b] is a rowdy good time. They aren't going to be together much longer, but I have a feeling they'll be back with a new name and a new lineup. http://diceyrileyband.com/
[b]Con[b] is another fun band with a great lead singer. The guy definitely has the "rock star attitude" thing going on stage (in a good way)! They mix Celtic with modern tunes, so if you like a lot of variety, check them out! http://www.conmusic.com/

I finally got to hear Wicked Tinkers on Highlander Radio, what i heard was very good.
This online radio is a revelation, do you know Jimmy, if they change the music each day, or is it the same cycle over and over?

Graham,
Paul has a LOAD of CDs that are donated by the groups or individuals for online play... so the music is always being updated. As for the "playlist", it doesn't exist! There are so many requests that it's new everyday. Also, Paul has a computer randomly pick the selections in order to keep it "fresh".
Besides us, I've hooked-up no less than 10 groups that have donated their CDs to the station for worldwide airplay! With the increased CD sales, they'll continue to donate too!
I'm VERY glad that you're enjoying it. Paul is a VERY good man, and has done a LOAD of work to get the station going. There's also an interesting "Message Board" there, that's more of a Celtic center... not much on kilts.
