One piece of aadvise that Bear gave me about pilling is to wash your PV kilt by itself, or with with other PV garments. I have been doing this, and it seems to be working better than when I just threw it in with a mixed load of laundry.

Welcome Atticus, and you too RM. I haven't had the pilling problem on a kilt yet, but I learned the hard way that the battery operated "Pilling shaver" works better that the manual razor one. I used the razor style to de-pill some flannel sheets and managed to put several slices in them. Ruining sheets was bad enough, but I'd be heartbroken if I slashed one of my kilts.

That's funny, I just de-pilled my kilt with the same razor (Schick Quattro) that I use on my head! Between that and a good ironing, my trusty kilt suddenly looked almost new.

Maybe I'm just clumsier than you are Jazzkilt. But then again I don't shave at all, if I was shaving my whole head I might develop a more sensitive touch.

We used to shave the inside of our BD's to make them itch less and hold a better crease so shaving should be fine for pilling.

The ears are pretty much the only thing that can get in the way. I've had a much easier time shaving my head than any other part of my- I mean than shaving my face

How the Dickens can you work a computer without a keyboard? No! Don't answer that! It's bound to be a technical matter ......... and we don't do 'technical'!
