Regimental!
To be correctly dressed for such an activity-drawers would be worn.
If drawers not available for any reason-then the long shirt tails should be pinned together under kilt.
The actual dress regulations can be a mine of interesting information.

I agree with Hamish. The UK modesty snap is quite uncomfortable I tried it ONE time. Never again! When I get a new one I test the snaps (for reasons unknown) I say let them fly!!!! The weight of a Workmans will most likely keep it in place anyway.

I can't see a problem either, but I would advise wearing underpants, I do, especially when attending Scottish Country Dancing.

You may want to take you lead from the heavy-weight athletes.

i think better a kilt that can be closed in need, then pants. also the kilt needs to get this advantage, as we have to admit, from trousers to get closed a bit in required situation.
i would only play with UK and activated snaps, then even without undies. in this case the sometime occuring flash of the a.. is a calculable risk.
but in any other kilt, or UK without snaps i wouldn t do a sport that need to jump to floor and jump over the net when smash is needed. i mean i m really not shocked or sexual paranoic but i think poeple would see each few minutes a part from us which isn t supposed to be seen. i would nt mind, but i guess in generally this makes bad image to the wearing of the kilt and makes no male thinking about wearing one...
to go ahead with an other sport: what about parachuting ;) here we have not as on beach 20% intime-look, but 100% ;)

I have read every post here in this thread thoughtfully and I come away with a couple thoughts.
1.) I want you to wear the kilt for the proper exposure of kilt wearing. ie promotion.
2.) I want your promotinal wearing of the kilt to be a "positive " experience not only for you, but for those who are watching the games and those participating.
Those watching on the sidelines are more likely to get a view they should'nt then those playing as they won't be as involved in the game.
Wear the kilt yes. but undergarments in a dark color are in order here. Boxer shorts are a good choice I think as they will still give an "airy" feel and freedom of movement.
We want to draw more men to wearing kilts, not cause them to distance themselves from them. and a wife at the event seeing you become imodest That could be a major setback for any man there that is considering it for the first time.
We must not insist on our "Rights" all the time. First consider others and the impact we will have on the whole notion of men in kilts.

Thanks for all the thoughts and tips. You guys are great! :P
The Ol' Coyote (some call him God) has intervened again. Bad weather has driven the agency to plan B and we're indoors today just doing that annual "think tank" stuff.
No Volleyball today. But good info for next spring.
Thanks again,
