    New sporran from recycled leather

    So i just completed this sporran and thought I'd share with you fine folk. In Perth Western Australia we have a delightful event called street clean-up that occurs twice a year. Councils remove all your unwanted items from the kerb. So I removed the leather from quite a few couches that people have discarded.

    This is the sporran I made from a well loved couch. The belt is a 1960's suit case strap that I picked up from a swop shop:

    South African military veteran. Great grandson of Captain William Henry Stevenson of the Highland Light Infantry, Scotland (1880's) and brother to Infantryman Peter Mark Schumann of the 2nd Transvaal Scottish, South Africa (1980's).
