Natalie,
A man's kilt always has the pleats in the
back and two "aprons" in the front. On a mans
kilt the aprons always go left hand over right
side....on a womans skirt it's the opposite.
I do believe it was Rickman as the bad guy also
in "Quigley Down Under" starring Tom Selleck.....
I'd have to check for sure as it's been quite awhile
since I saw the pic but I'm pretty sure. Good film
an worth looking up......

Rickman definitely played the part of Elliot Marston in Quigley Downunder. The Star of the movie was a Sharps Model 1874 Business Rifle in .45-120-500-3 1/2" and co-starring Tom Selleck.
BTW, that is one of my favorite movies.
And I don't think anyone but Rickman could have played Severus Snape half so well.
