Speaking of belts and buckles, does anyone know of a source for the metal piece at the other end of the belt that the buckle hooks into?

The actual piece itself... nope.
It's a VERY easy make, though. You can take the buckle to the Home Depot to match-up the metal thickness, and they'll give you the specs on how to bend it. If you lived in Philly, I would be MORE than happy to do it for you.
I've already converted a few "normal" belt buckles into ones that will fit a traditional kilt belt. The only trick is the spot-weld... but then there's ways around that too.
