Welcome!
This past spring, my wife and I traveled through your beautiful country. The only time I worn pants was during our trips to St. Marks in Venice and St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

I loved Rome. I hope to go back when I can spend more time there.

Well, there is another linkage that very few people know about Italian and Celtic culture. The Italian playing card deck is made of 40 cards in four suits. Suits are: swords (spade), staves (bastoni), cups (coppe) and coins (denari). Each suit consists of an ace, six numbered cards (two to seven), a knave, a horseman, and a king.
Italian suits originate from the four magical objects brought by the Tuatha de Danaan to Ireland and mentioned at the beginning of the Second Battle of Moytura: cups from the Dagda's Cauldron, staves from the Spear of Lugh, coins from the Stone of Fal, and swords from the Sword of Nuada.
You can see some other decks here: http://a_pollett.tripod.com/cards5.htm

Well, on December I already reserved for a Gospel concert, but I may think about it for January. Why not? By the way, call me just Dario, my first name.

Well, I do not think that wearing a kilt in a church would be considered wrong, but I am not really sure. I would not be scandalized, anyway.

Welcome to the board. Italians make the best cars, have the best food, and speak a wonderful language. And Italian women are some of the most beautiful in the world.
Anybody know if there's a Sicilian tartan?

We visited the major churches in most of the cities we visited. Some of the churches we went to had strict dress codes. Only two (St. Marks in Venice and St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican) were strict enough that I thought I should wear trousers rather than risk embarrassing the other members of our tour group by causing a scene.

Well, do not exaggerate ;-) Italy is a beautyful country, but I travelled a lot in Europe and outside Europe, and I learnt that every country, every culture, has a lot to give us. You have only to be open minded and available to learn.
I remember as one of the most beautiful moment of my life, just standing on the western cliff of the Aran islands looking at sea and hearing the wind singing.

Benvenutto!
Bene, caro amico, excusi il mio horribile italiano, ma io sonno spagnolo, allora e difficile per me spressare nell suo idioma, io parlero en anglese!
Sorry for destroying ur language guy, but even considering the similar origins of our languages I know that they're not the same! Just welcome from a valencian spanish, and let me say that surely I'll visit Rome in the future (la piú bella cittá dil mondo), and that I invite you to cross the mediterranean and visit Valencia (la piú bella e peccaminosa cittá di tutta la mediterrania, as it was said by an italian nell quattrocento), specially in Fallas (from the 14th to the 19th of march).
We also have in Spain the same cards, and we talk about "Oros" (coins), "Bastos" (maces), "espadas" (swords) and "Copas" (Cups).
As the origins of the Grial Legend seem to be celtic, and the recognised Jesuschrist grial is on the Valencia Cathedral (well,... one of them, as many branches of Christianism will ask for it!), and also as it seems that the celtic hero Lugh came from Galicia, in the north-west corner of Spain (one of the cities there is Lugo), maybe our celtic connections through gambling seems to be even more strong now!
Well, just welcome you here, and hope that you can enjoy belonging to this "Clan" as much as I do!
Salute!
¡Salud!
