"The best way to hear 'Amazing Grace' is on bagpipes" - Peter Jennings during the coverage of Ronald Reagan's funeral.
- The pipe music was definitely a sign from above. If it had been Tunisian or Turkish pipes, well ...

Got me to wondering...what would happen if all the guys on this board that live near a WalMart, and all the ladies on the board that live near a WalMart, went to their local WalMart kilted and asked the managers if they carried kilts.
Not that we would even want to consider the quality of a WalMart kilt if one were ever made....but it would be nice if word of the requests at least floated back to WalMart corporate and they had to ponder how to get Chinese children to sew up kilts....

Nah I would keep curling. I found myself watching the world championships on ESPN one day and was spellbound by it because it really took more strategy and skill than even I gave it credit for....as for Celine Dion....ugh...the second she puts on a kilt in her act, I'm burning all of mine...or selling them on ebay...I gotta profit out of it some way.....

Latest thing at my new SuperWalMart is gang-banger clothes. Went up to a lady in the gang banger section of the store and said, "Excuse me, I've just been initiated into the Vista Avenue Vandals and I was wondering if you carry my gang colors?"
Another blank look....

You really are a sh*t disturber, aren't you? ;) I like that in a person.
As for Wal*Mart...you won't ever catch me inside one of those store. I hate that company more than anything else on the planet.
As for Amazing Grace on the pipes...I get a little misty-eyed every time I hear it. It was my father's favorite song and we had it played (recorded version, not live, sadly) at his funeral.

Curling? Bring it on...we keep trying to plan a curling venue in the South Suburbs of Chicago (preferably one with a liberal liquor licensing board).
Hey...the Guess Who...Barenaked Ladies....Mike Meyers....William Shatner (Denny Crane!)...I know that it's hard to believe but Canada has WAY counterbalanced Celine Dion with a whole lot of great stuff....I won't even get into The Group of Seven, one of the art movements that has moved me the most recently!

you are counting Mike Meyers & Wil Shatner on the positive side...????
Let's make a deal...I'll take back the curling comment if we throw Meyers on the sinking ship - along with JIm Carrey to ack as added weight to speed up the sinking!!!!
Dammit - now i am gonna have to play Amazing Grace in my MP3 player to take me back to a happier (albeit somewhat melancholy) place!
